Act Zen to Be Zen was written by Richard Del Connor for his daughter when she wanted to become an actress. Richard wanted to provide his daughter with useful tools to live a happier life, be as creative as possible, and have peace of mind.
Act Zen to Be Zen will improve acting schools and improve the daily lives of actors as they take control of their identity. This control provides the awareness to keep looking deeper and correct problems rather than ignore them.
Act Zen to Be Zen evolved from the Director’s Notebook of Richard Del Connor from his years studying motion pictures at UCLA Extension from 1985 to 1987 when he graduated the UCLA Motion Picture Program.
With 30 years of acting and directing experience since then, Richard’s Director’s Notebook had sprouted several offshoot books such as Human Values for Success in Family and Business, and the Tao of Taoism.
When Richard Del Connor founded Shaolin Chi Mantis Traditional Buddhist Gongfu and Taijiquan in 1992 he began writing twelve student manuals for the Shaolin Kung Fu, Praying Mantis Kung Fu, and Yang Tai Chi Chuan programs he created for the SCM Curriculum.
With all this experience and information to add and compliment this original, Act Zen to Be Zen book, it is exciting to see this book’s beginning as a 8.5″ x 11″ paperback. If this format is not sturdy enough for a student to use, write, and access their information… without it falling apart… LET US KNOW. Please. Let us know if you like the book and it holds up well also. Thanks!
